Principal's Message

Welcome to Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts! It is truly an honor to serve as principal of such an extraordinary school community. I am incredibly proud of the unique programming and experiences we offer our students, and one of the greatest privileges of my role is witnessing their four-year journey with us as they grow as students, artists, and young people preparing for what comes next.

My own journey in HISD began nearly 24 years ago, and throughout my career I have had the opportunity to serve at both the elementary and high school levels as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, and principal. The arts are also an important part of who I am. I have a background in the performing arts as a dancer and continue to perform when I have the opportunity, which gives me an especially personal appreciation for the passion, discipline, vulnerability, and commitment our young artists bring to their work every day.

I am grateful to welcome you to Kinder HSPVA and invite you to learn more about the remarkable students, faculty, programs, and community that make this school such a special place.
